Improvements to Allotment Sites in the Borough

The Association has been acting on behalf of its members to improve the quality of allotment sites in the Eastleigh Area. As a result of the Association's efforts, the Council has improved allotment facilities at two important sites.

At Lincoln's Rise allotments, Otterbourne, neglected and overgrown plots have been cleared and a water supply installed for the first time in this site's history.  A toilet has also been installed at the site making it more user friendly.  These are all welcome improvements to this allotment site, which is now thriving after a long period of neglect.

The allotment site at Burrow Hill (now called Jockey Lane, Bishopstoke) has also had a toilet installed at the Association's request.

Improvements like these help to increase the value of allotment gardens to the community and ensure that sites remain well used and able to satisfy the growing demand to take up allotment gardening..

If you feel there is room for more improvement in allotment provision and quality in and around the Eastleigh area, we would like to hear from you.  Click here for our contact details.
